Birds of a feather 2025 exhibition

Our annual October exhibition, Birds of a Feather, is a heartfelt tribute to our feathered friends. It showcases the creative talents of the Omokoroa Artists, Omokoroa Photographic Society, Omokoroa Bird Group, and features the fascinating and beautiful sculptures of Stuart Anderson. This exhibition also serves as a prelude to the Omokoroa Godwit Kuaka Festival, taking place this year on Sunday, 9 November, from 11am to 2pm at Cooney Reserve. The festival is driven by a passion to raise awareness about the vital role Omokoroa—and especially the Tinopai Sandbar—plays in the extraordinary annual migration of the Godwits/Kuaka from Alaska.
