Debbie Park is the guest exhibitor at the Omokoroa Gallery from 4 February to 2 March 2025. An Omokoroa local, Debbie says her art journey began in 1997 while living in Australia for 12 years, enabling her to explore her connection to her Aboriginal roots through the medium of serious art. On returning to New Zealand and taking an Art Diploma majoring in Raku pottery, through to dabbling with different media, Debbie says her journey has been one of self-discovery - mentally, spiritually and creatively. In combining her art training with her natural instincts, Debbie has developed a deeper understanding of the importance of art to the soul. "It’s a pleasure to be able to share the current stage of my journey and, through that, discovering my inner child– this is just a beginning."
