John East NZ Art

John's artwork is a collaboration of New Zealand birds, flowers and horses. He finds by using acrylics he is able to capture his subjects in full bold colours. These eye-catching pieces bring the art work alive. John gives each piece a point of difference, and watching the paintings evolve as he paints inspires him. He tries to draw on his surrounding environment to create his paintings and make them unique. For much of his life John has been involved in creative endeavours. He studied art at Elam School of Fine Art in Auckland, New Zealand. On leaving school, he worked for Lion Breweries and Fosters as their Merchandising Manager, then went on to become a professional designer in his own company Marketing Works. For many years John and his team were focused on setting up large events or designing and building large 3D creations for clients in New Zealand and overseas. It was following this period of his life that John found a passion for painting. For the past few years John has worked on developing his art work into print form so that it can be displayed not only inside but outdoors on buildings, fences or in gardens settings as special pieces. John was born in New Zealand and is enjoying living by the sea in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.
