John discovered his passion for painting at age 12 when he received his first set of oil paints and an easel—a tool he still uses today. Inspired by artists like Banksy and L.S. Lowry, as well as his own family, John blends childlike creativity with refined technique. His distinctive three-dimensional artworks are entirely hand-painted, using a reverse perspective method that creates striking optical illusions without digital manipulation. Drawing on his daughter’s playful scribbles for his stick-figure characters, John’s work celebrates optimism and simplicity, reflecting his belief in seeing the world through rose-coloured glasses.
