Omokoroa Artists

Omokoroa Artists is a collaborative membership community for adults to develop their artistic skills. Artists of all abilities meet each week to practice, share, and learn about art. Art mediums depend on individual preferences – from watercolour to acrylic, pastel to pencil and more. The group meets at the Omokoroa Settlers Hall on Wednesdays from 10.45am until 3.30pm to draw, paint, sculpt and create their own art projects. The group has a library of art books and resources. Optional monthly fun challenges enable artists to create works based on a style or theme. Through the year workshops are given by members and visiting artists. The Omokoroa Artists exhibit each year over Labour Weekend at the Settlers Hall. The large number of artists and range of styles results in an exciting and eclectic mix of local art.
