Robert (Bob) Jones – Photographer

Photography became my hobby at the age of 13. I was immediately interested in all aspects . Very soon I had a darkroom at the back of Dad’s garage. My interest in photo development has continued - with a darkroom in every house we owned until about eight years ago. From the beginning I loved black and white images, and I still do. However, my image interest is broad, and includes landscapes, seascapes, city buildings, flowers, birds and animals, and closeup and macro. For 10 years I, with two other members of the Howick Photography Society, ran a photography tutor group catering for small groups. We covered a wide range of photography topics. Teaching is rewarding- it lets you see the results of your efforts in the improvement of the photographer participants. I am a Life member of the Howick Photographic Society, a member of the NZ Photographic Society (PSNZ), and a member of the Tauranga Photographic Society. I hold a Licentiateship honours with the PSNZ.
